About the firm
A private practice for leaders who are heard for a living.
We work with a small number of senior executives at a time, on the conversations that shape their companies.
Our posture
Clinical rigor, applied to commercial stakes
Sound American exists for a specific kind of client: a leader who is fluent, accomplished and already successful, and whose most important conversations now happen in English — in front of American boards, investors and buyers.
Our coaching is led by certified speech-language pathologists: clinicians trained in how speech is produced and perceived. We bring that discipline to a commercial setting — diagnosis before prescription, work on your real material, and progress you can hear on a recording.
We are deliberately small. Taking on a limited number of clients at a time is what allows each engagement to be private, precise and built around a real calendar of meetings.
Our standards
What every engagement holds to
-
01
Clinically qualified
Coaching is led by speech-language pathologists who hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
-
02
Confidential by default
Sessions are one-to-one. Recordings and notes stay between you and your coach; anything shared with a sponsor is agreed in advance.
-
03
Your material, not drills
We work on the pitch, the board deck and the negotiation you actually have ahead.
-
04
Measured progress
Every engagement starts from a recorded baseline, so change is something you can hear, not just feel.
-
05
Built around your calendar
Remote sessions, scheduled around travel, time zones and deal cycles.
-
06
Selective by design
We take on a limited number of new clients at a time, so every engagement has our full attention.
Coaching in English
The site speaks your language. The coaching is in English — by design.
We publish this site in eight languages because our clients are based around the world. The coaching itself is conducted in English: the goal is to be understood effortlessly in American business settings, and the most direct way there is to practice in them.
Our clinicians analyze how your first language shapes your English — its sounds, rhythms and habits — and use that analysis to target the changes that matter most for you.

What we don’t do
- We don’t try to erase your accent or your identity.
- We don’t sell generic presentation tricks or scripts.
- We don’t share your recordings, notes or progress without your agreement.
- We don’t publish client names, logos or stories.
